Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Renewable Energy Engineer to join our team in Soweto. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and hydroelectric power plants. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for renewable energy.

As a Renewable Energy Engineer at Eskom, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects, collaborate with a talented team of professionals, and contribute to the growth and development of the company. Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and hydroelectric power plants
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to identify potential renewable energy opportunities
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules to ensure successful project delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil)
  • 5-10 years of experience in renewable energy or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies, including solar, wind, and hydroelectric power
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop creative solutions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil) is required for this position.

Experience

5-10 years of experience in renewable energy or a related field is required for this position.

Salary

The salary for this position is R 450,000 – R 700,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
