Field Service Electrical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and technically proficient Field Service Electrical Engineer to join their team in Soweto . This role requires extensive travel to client sites to install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical equipment and systems. You will be the primary technical point of contact for customers, ensuring their satisfaction and the optimal performance of our products. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with excellent diagnostic skills and a dedication to providing exceptional on-site support, playing a critical role in maintaining customer operations and upholding the company's reputation for reliability.

• Install, commission, and test electrical equipment and systems at customer locations.
• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of electrical machinery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Provide technical training and support to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Maintain detailed service reports, documenting all work performed and recommendations.
• Collaborate with the engineering and sales teams to provide customer feedback and drive product improvements.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a field service or technical support role, preferably with industrial equipment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motor controls, and power electronics.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and test equipment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively to client sites.
