About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Industrial Process Engineer to contribute to their operations in Soweto . This role focuses on the analysis, design, and implementation of efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes. You will work closely with production teams to identify and resolve operational issues, optimize workflows, and ensure adherence to quality standards. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of industrial engineering principles and a passion for driving continuous improvement in a dynamic industrial setting, aiming to enhance overall plant performance.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze existing production processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
- Develop and implement new process designs and operational workflows using appropriate engineering principles and tools.
- Conduct time studies and motion analyses to establish standard work and improve ergonomics.
- Collaborate with production staff, maintenance, and quality control to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
- Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including SOPs, flow charts, and training materials.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field.
- 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering , with a focus on manufacturing processes.
- Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
- Proficiency in data analysis, process mapping, and problem-solving techniques.
- Experience with CAD software and process simulation tools is beneficial.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across different departments.
