About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer specializing in Automation and Control Systems to join their operations in Soweto. This role is vital for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated control systems that enhance efficiency and productivity across various processes. You will work closely with production and engineering teams to develop innovative solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure the seamless operation of our automated infrastructure.
This position offers a hybrid work model, combining on-site collaboration with remote flexibility.
- Design and develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for industrial automation applications.
- Program and configure various automation hardware and software platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve control system malfunctions, ensuring minimal operational disruption.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new automation solutions and upgrade existing systems.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including control system logic, schematics, and operating manuals.
- Ensure all automation systems comply with safety standards and industry best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a focus on automation.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting industrial automation and control systems.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) and HMI/SCADA software.
- Strong understanding of industrial networks, sensors, actuators, and robotic systems.
- Experience with system integration and commissioning.
