Our client is seeking a skilled Electrical Services Engineer to manage and deliver essential electrical services for various projects and facilities in the Soweto area. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliable and safe operation of electrical infrastructure within buildings and developments. You will be involved in design, specification, installation supervision, and troubleshooting of electrical services, ensuring they meet client needs and regulatory compliance.
This position requires a blend of technical expertise and practical application in a dynamic urban environment.
- Design and specify electrical building services, including power distribution, lighting, and earthing systems.
- Prepare detailed calculations, drawings, and specifications for electrical installations.
- Supervise electrical installations on site, ensuring quality and adherence to standards.
- Coordinate with architects, other services engineers, and contractors to integrate electrical systems.
- Conduct site surveys, condition assessments, and develop maintenance plans for existing electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical service issues encountered during construction or operation.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes and electrical safety regulations in Soweto .
- B.Eng or
B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification. - Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical services engineering for buildings and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in using electrical design software such as AutoCAD and relevant calculation tools.
- Strong understanding of building services regulations and standards (e.g., SANS).
- Experience in project coordination and site supervision.
