Civil Engineer - Water & Sanitation

Our client is seeking a diligent and qualified Civil Engineer to focus on water and sanitation projects within the Soweto area and surrounding regions in Gauteng . This role is essential for ensuring the effective provision and management of water supply and wastewater services to the community. You will be involved in the design, planning, and implementation of water and sanitation infrastructure, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.

• Design and manage water supply networks, including pipelines and storage facilities.
• Plan and implement wastewater collection and treatment systems.
• Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies for new water and sanitation projects.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
• Oversee construction and maintenance activities for water and sanitation infrastructure.
• Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and public health standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in water and sanitation engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Candidate Engineer (Pr Eng) designation is preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD software and relevant water/wastewater design tools.
• Solid understanding of South African water quality standards and environmental legislation.
• Experience in project management and site supervision.
