Our client is seeking a specialized Industrial Engineer with a strong focus on Automation to join their forward-thinking team in Soweto , Gauteng. This role is critical for identifying opportunities to implement automation technologies within our manufacturing and operational processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and safety. You will be responsible for analyzing current systems, recommending automation solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration and implementation.
The ideal candidate will possess a keen understanding of automation principles, practical experience with automation projects, and a passion for driving innovation in industrial settings.
- Analyze existing processes to identify viable opportunities for automation and robotics implementation.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend suitable automation technologies and solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and operations teams on the design and implementation of automated systems.
- Develop project proposals, including cost-benefit analyses, for automation initiatives.
- Oversee the integration and testing of new automated equipment and software.
- Provide training and support for personnel operating or maintaining automated systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering with a demonstrable focus on automation and process control.
- Familiarity with robotics , PLC programming, and industrial automation software.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and their application in automated environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to process automation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities for effective project collaboration.
