Chemical Engineer - Industrial Waste Management and Remediation

• Assess industrial waste streams and characterize their composition and hazards.
• Design and implement appropriate waste treatment and disposal processes (e.g., incineration, stabilization, landfilling).
• Develop remediation plans for contaminated soil and groundwater.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for waste management projects.
• Ensure all waste management activities comply with national and international environmental regulations.
• Oversee the operation of waste treatment facilities and remediation sites.
• Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to achieve project objectives.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and environmental impact assessments.
• Research and recommend innovative waste reduction and recycling technologies.
• Provide technical guidance on waste handling, storage, and transportation safety.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial waste management, hazardous waste handling, or environmental remediation.
• Strong knowledge of waste treatment technologies and environmental regulations.
• Experience with site assessment and remediation techniques is essential.
• Proficiency in relevant software for modeling and data analysis.
• Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to conduct fieldwork and work effectively in challenging environments.
• Experience in the mining or manufacturing sector is an advantage.
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration is desirable.
