Industrial Engineer - Operations Efficiency

• Develop and implement solutions to optimize production throughput, resource utilization, and material flow.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen) to eliminate waste and improve operational performance.
• Conduct time and motion studies to improve workstation design and employee productivity.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for operational tasks.
• Collaborate with production teams and supervisors to implement process changes and ensure successful adoption.
• Monitor operational performance using key metrics and provide regular reports on findings and recommendations.
• Assist in the development of business cases for new equipment or process improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all implemented processes comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on operations and manufacturing environments.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
• Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and basic simulation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Self-motivated and able to manage tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with South African industrial operations and safety standards is a plus.
