Sports Event Manager

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Sports Event Manager to oversee the planning and execution of major sporting events in the Soweto area. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong logistical capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of events from conception to completion. You will be responsible for all facets of event management, including budgeting, venue operations, participant experience, and safety protocols, contributing to the vibrant sporting landscape of the region and ensuring high-quality experiences for all involved.

• Manage all operational aspects of sports events, including venue selection, layout, and setup.
• Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and all expenses are controlled.
• Coordinate with security, medical, and emergency services to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants and spectators.
• Oversee ticketing, registration, and spectator services to ensure a seamless experience.
• Liaise with sponsors, media, and marketing teams to maximize event exposure and support.
• Manage staff and volunteers during events, providing clear direction and support.

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sports event management or a similar role.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and manage large-scale events.
