Our client is seeking a Junior Finance Manager to join their finance team. This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys taking ownership, implementing structure, and improving finance processes while supporting the day-to-day operations of the business.
The successful candidate will manage key accounting functions, strengthen internal controls, improve reporting processes, and provide support to both operational and group finance stakeholders. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in an environment undergoing positive change and enjoys building efficient financial structures.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the full finance function
- Oversee cashbook, debtors, creditors, petty cash, and general ledger activities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Perform month-end and year-end reconciliations
- Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Develop and improve financial processes, controls, and procedures
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements
- Ensure financial compliance and control standards are maintained
- Work closely with operational and group finance stakeholders
- Lead, support, and develop a small finance team
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies across the finance function
- BCom Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Completed Articles advantageous but not essential
- 3-5 years' relevant accounting experience
- Full finance function experience essential
- Strong debtors, creditors, cashbook, and general ledger experience
- Strong month-end reporting and reconciliations experience
- Experience improving finance processes and controls
- Leadership or team management experience advantageous
- Experience working within growing or changing environments beneficial
