The City of Ekurhuleni (City) hereby invites applications from suitable individuals to be included in the panel of candidates from which the City can appoint non-executive directors of the municipality’s entities, namely the Ekurhuleni Development Agency (EDA) for a three-year term.

Minimum Requirements
  • B Degree; NQF Level 7.
  • Post graduate NQF 8/9 qualification will be an advantage.
  • Candidates must be suited to serve on the Board and its Committees by virtue of their qualifications, expertise and experience in the fields of Financial Management, Legal, Actuarial, Information Technology, Investment Management, Auditing, Risk Management, Infrastructure Development, Development Finance, Socio-economic Development, Strategic Planning, Business, Pension Fund Management, Compliance, Transport Economics, Engineering Sciences, Built Environment, Community Activism and Participation, and Governance and Public Sector Administration.
  • Applicants must possess at least 8 years’ management experience in any of the specialist areas enlisted above. Preference will also be given to applicants who have previously served in such roles.
  • A Cover Letter, Curriculum Vitae and certified copies of qualifications together with 3 references must be submitted with applications
  • Further considerations: Applications will be subject to vetting and probity checks and the selected candidates obtaining necessary security clearance. Preference will be given to candidates whose appointments will enhance representation of Communities of the City of Ekurhuleni. Correspondence will be limited to short-listed applicants only.
