E-commerce Data Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical E-commerce Data Analyst to join their team in Soweto . This role is crucial for extracting, analyzing, and interpreting data from various e-commerce platforms and marketing channels to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions and improve online performance. You will work closely with marketing, sales, and operations teams to identify trends, measure campaign effectiveness, and optimize the customer journey.

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from e-commerce platforms, website analytics, and marketing campaigns.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, customer acquisition cost, and customer lifetime value.
• Identify trends, patterns, and insights within the data to inform marketing strategies, product development, and operational improvements.
• Perform A/B testing analysis and provide recommendations for optimization of website elements and marketing campaigns.
• Collaborate with various departments to understand their data needs and provide relevant analytical support.
• Communicate complex data findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst , preferably within an e-commerce or digital marketing context.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with web analytics platforms like Google Analytics.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
