About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced E-commerce Platform Manager to oversee their entire online retail ecosystem in Soweto . This critical role involves managing the day-to-day operations and strategic development of their e-commerce platform, ensuring a seamless and optimized user experience for customers. You will work closely with IT, marketing, and sales departments to implement new features, improve performance, and drive revenue growth.
This position is central to the company's digital success and requires a deep understanding of e-commerce technology and best practices.
- Manage, maintain, and continuously optimize the company's e-commerce platform (e.g., Shopify Plus, Magento).
- Oversee website performance, including speed, uptime, and user experience enhancements.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement new features, integrations, and bug fixes.
- Ensure product catalog accuracy, including pricing, descriptions, and imagery.
- Analyze user behavior and sales data to identify areas for conversion rate optimization (CRO).
- Stay abreast of e-commerce trends, technologies, and competitive landscape.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in e-commerce platform management or a related technical role.
- In-depth knowledge of major e-commerce platforms and their architecture.
- Strong understanding of web development principles, APIs, and integrations.
- Proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and A/B testing methodologies.
- Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
