IT Support Specialist

Our client is looking for a dedicated and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to join their team in Soweto . This role is responsible for providing technical assistance and support for computer systems, software, and hardware issues. You will be the first point of contact for users experiencing technical difficulties, ensuring timely and effective resolution. This on-site position requires excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding user support within the Soweto community.

The successful candidate will be part of a supportive IT department focused on maintaining smooth operations.

• Provide technical support to users via phone, email, and in-person assistance for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
• Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues, escalating when necessary.
• Maintain IT inventory and manage asset lifecycle.
• Create and maintain IT documentation and user guides.

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+) are highly desirable.
• 1-2 years of experience in IT support or a similar technical role.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting common operating systems (Windows, macOS) and software applications.
• Familiarity with basic networking concepts and hardware troubleshooting.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
