Lead Enterprise Architect

Our client, a major financial services institution, is looking for a seasoned Lead Enterprise Architect to guide their strategic technology initiatives from their headquarters in Soweto, Gauteng . This pivotal role involves defining the overall IT architecture that supports the organization's business objectives, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency across all systems. You will be responsible for developing roadmaps, setting architectural standards, and providing guidance to multiple project teams.

This is a high-visibility position requiring strong leadership skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. We are seeking a visionary leader who can translate complex business needs into actionable technology strategies. The role is based in our bustling Soweto, Gauteng office.

• Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture blueprint, including business, application, data, and technology domains.
• Define and enforce architectural standards, principles, and guidelines across the organization.
• Lead architectural reviews and provide guidance on technology selection and solution design.
• Collaborate with business leaders and IT stakeholders to understand strategic priorities and translate them into architectural requirements.
• Identify opportunities for technology modernization and innovation to improve business outcomes.
• Oversee the integration of new systems and technologies into the existing enterprise landscape.
• Manage architectural risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and guide a team of enterprise and solution architects.
• Develop and maintain technology roadmaps and strategies.
• Communicate architectural vision and strategy effectively to diverse audiences.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture, with at least 3 years in a lead role.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing enterprise-wide IT strategies and roadmaps.
• In-depth knowledge of various architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
• Strong understanding of enterprise application integration, data management, and cloud computing.
• Experience in the financial services industry is highly preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence and drive consensus among senior executives.
• Proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale IT initiatives.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF Certified) are a plus.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
