About the Role
Our client is seeking a focused Industrial Engineer specializing in Supply Chain operations for their facility near Soweto . This role will concentrate on optimizing logistics, inventory management, and distribution processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs within the supply chain network. You will apply engineering principles to analyze complex logistical challenges and implement innovative solutions that improve flow and service levels, contributing directly to the company's competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and optimize all aspects of the supply chain, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce lead times, and lower operational costs within the logistics network.
- Utilize data analytics and modeling to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and optimize resource allocation.
- Design and implement improvements to material handling systems and warehouse layouts.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless and cost-effective supply chain operations.
- Develop and maintain performance metrics for supply chain activities and report on key findings.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on supply chain and logistics.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles , logistics, and inventory management techniques.
- Proficiency in WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and TMS (Transportation Management Systems).
- Experience with data analysis, simulation, and optimization software.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
