About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Analyst to optimize logistics and inventory management for their operations in the Soweto area. This hybrid role involves analyzing supply chain data, identifying inefficiencies, and developing strategies to improve product flow, reduce costs, and ensure product availability. You will work closely with procurement, manufacturing, distribution, and sales teams to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the pharmaceutical supply chain.

This position is crucial for ensuring that vital medicines reach patients effectively and affordably, contributing to operational excellence in a highly regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze supply chain data, including inventory levels, demand forecasts, lead times, and transportation costs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the supply chain.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supply chain performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (e.g., suppliers, logistics providers) to ensure seamless operations.
  • Assist in demand planning and inventory management to optimize stock levels and prevent stock-outs or overstocking.
  • Support the implementation of new supply chain technologies and best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain analysis, preferably within the pharmaceutical or a related regulated industry.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau) and supply chain software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and manage relationships.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical logistics and regulatory compliance related to drug distribution.
