About the Role

Our client is looking for a versatile and reliable General Maintenance Worker to support their facilities management team in Soweto . This role is essential for ensuring the upkeep and functionality of their premises through a variety of basic maintenance and repair tasks. You will be responsible for addressing day-to-day issues related to building integrity, minor repairs, and groundskeeping, contributing to a safe and pleasant working environment.

• Perform basic repairs and maintenance on building structures, including carpentry, painting, and drywall.
• Address minor plumbing and electrical issues as needed, escalating complex problems.
• Conduct routine inspections of the premises to identify and report maintenance requirements.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment for events or meetings.
• Perform general upkeep of external areas, including landscaping and general cleaning tasks.

• Proven experience in a General Maintenance or handyman role.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Reliable and able to work independently with minimal supervision in Soweto .
