About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Community Cleaner to help maintain the cleanliness and appeal of various public and communal spaces within the Soweto community. You will be responsible for a range of cleaning tasks, adhering to schedules and hygiene standards. • Perform regular cleaning and sanitization of assigned public areas, including streets, parks, and community centers.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as street sweepers or pressure washers where applicable.
• Manage waste collection and ensure proper disposal of litter and debris.
• Report any graffiti, vandalism, or maintenance issues observed in public spaces.
• Follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with seasonal cleaning tasks and community beautification projects.

• Previous experience in cleaning , janitorial services, or outdoor maintenance is an advantage.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
• Understanding of basic hygiene and safety principles.
• Reliability and punctuality, with a strong sense of responsibility towards community spaces.
• Ability to work effectively outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Good communication skills for reporting issues.
