Automotive Workshop Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Automotive Workshop Manager to oversee operations at their busy service center in Soweto . This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the workshop, managing staff, controlling costs, and maintaining the highest standards of customer service and repair quality. You will lead a team of technicians and service advisors, driving performance and fostering a positive and productive work environment.

• Manage all aspects of workshop operations, including scheduling, workflow, and technician productivity.
• Lead, motivate, and supervise the service team, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance are carried out to the highest standards and within estimated time frames.
• Oversee inventory management for parts and supplies, controlling costs and minimizing waste.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, resolving complaints and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
• Implement and enforce health and safety regulations within the workshop.
• Manage warranty claims processing and supplier relationships.
• Achieve departmental profitability targets through effective cost control and service sales.

• Proven experience in a Workshop Management or supervisory role within the automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of automotive repair processes, diagnostics, and workshop operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using dealership management systems (DMS) and workshop management software.
• Demonstrated ability to manage staff, control costs, and improve operational efficiency.
