Mechanical Engineer - Manufacturing Support

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive Mechanical Engineer to provide essential support to their manufacturing operations in Soweto . This role focuses on optimizing production processes, improving equipment efficiency, and resolving mechanical issues that impact manufacturing output. You will work closely with production teams to ensure the smooth running of machinery and implement engineering solutions to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for mechanical improvements and efficiencies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical breakdowns and operational issues with production machinery.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies for manufacturing equipment.
• Design, fabricate, or modify tooling and fixtures to support production needs.
• Collaborate with production staff and management to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Contribute to the installation and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment in Soweto .

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes , automation, and industrial machinery.
• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and schematics.
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a production team.
