About the Role
Our client is looking for a motivated and eager Junior Chemical Engineer to provide essential support to their manufacturing operations in Soweto . This entry-level position offers a fantastic opportunity to apply academic knowledge in a practical industrial setting, gaining valuable experience in day-to-day plant operations, troubleshooting, and process improvement. You will work under the guidance of experienced engineers, contributing to the efficiency, safety, and quality of chemical production processes.
The ideal candidate is a quick learner, detail-oriented, and keen to build a successful career in chemical engineering.
- Assist in monitoring production processes and identifying operational issues or deviations.
- Support senior engineers in troubleshooting manufacturing problems and implementing solutions.
- Conduct data collection and basic analysis related to process performance, yields, and energy usage.
- Participate in safety audits and help maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in updating process documentation, including operating procedures and P&IDs.
- Collaborate with production personnel to ensure smooth operational flow.
- B.Sc. or
B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline. - 0-2 years of relevant experience, internships are highly valued.
- Basic understanding of chemical engineering principles, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
- Familiarity with safety protocols in an industrial setting is a plus.
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong desire to learn and contribute within a team environment.
