Junior Industrial Engineer - Continuous Improvement

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Junior Industrial Engineer to join their Continuous Improvement team in Soweto . This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate passionate about applying industrial engineering principles to enhance operational efficiency and productivity. You will work closely with experienced engineers to analyze processes, collect data, and support the implementation of improvement initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies in a dynamic industrial setting, providing a strong foundation for a career in operational excellence.

• Assist in the analysis of manufacturing and operational processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Collect and organize data related to production efficiency, quality, and waste.
• Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and value stream mapping.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to execute process improvement projects.
• Help develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
• Conduct basic time studies and workplace observations.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering with an IE focus).
• Internship or co-op experience in industrial engineering or manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
