Industrial Engineer - Plant Operations

Our client is seeking a diligent Industrial Engineer to join their plant operations team in Soweto. This role is central to optimizing the daily functioning of the manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient production processes, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. You will work on-site, collaborating closely with production supervisors, quality control personnel, and maintenance teams to analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions.

• Analyze production data and operational workflows to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost reduction.
• Develop and implement process improvements utilizing lean manufacturing principles and tools.
• Assist in the design and layout of plant operations, ensuring optimal material flow and space utilization.
• Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
• Monitor production performance metrics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 2-4 years of experience in an industrial engineering or manufacturing support role.
• Basic understanding of lean manufacturing concepts and process improvement techniques.
• Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving.
• Familiarity with CAD software and process mapping tools is a plus.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
