Outreach Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Outreach Coordinator to connect with and support individuals and families in the Soweto community. This role is central to ensuring residents are aware of and can access essential services, programs, and resources available to them. You will design and implement outreach strategies, build relationships with community members and organizations, and facilitate engagement with various support initiatives.

This position requires a dynamic individual comfortable with both remote planning and on-site community interaction, aiming to strengthen the social fabric of Soweto.

• Develop and execute outreach plans to reach target community populations.
• Conduct community needs assessments and identify gaps in service provision.
• Organise and facilitate community events, information sessions, and workshops.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local organisations, and residents.
• Connect individuals and families with appropriate social services, health programmes, and educational opportunities.
• Track outreach activities and report on key metrics and outcomes.

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Community Development, Public Health, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in community outreach, programme coordination, or social services.
• Strong understanding of the Soweto community and its unique needs.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in using technology for planning, communication, and reporting.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
