About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst to join their laboratory team in Soweto . This role is essential for performing a wide range of analytical tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished pharmaceutical products to ensure they meet established quality and safety standards. You will work with advanced analytical instrumentation and adhere strictly to GMP and SOP guidelines.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in analytical chemistry and a commitment to maintaining product integrity within a regulated pharmaceutical environment, contributing to the overall quality assurance of life-saving medications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform various analytical tests on raw materials, packaging components, and finished products using techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, and titration.
  • Analyze test results, accurately document findings, and report any deviations or out-of-specification (OOS) results.
  • Prepare reagents, standards, and samples for testing.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, perform calibrations, and ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures.
  • Participate in method validation and transfer activities as required.
  • Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related science field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical Quality Control laboratory.
  • Proficiency with common analytical instruments (e.g., HPLC, GC, spectrophotometers).
  • Knowledge of pharmacopoeial standards (e.g., USP, BP) and GMP principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and reporting.
