Senior Research Associate - Immunology

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Research Associate with expertise in Immunology to join their expanding research team in Soweto . You will contribute to critical research projects focused on understanding immune responses and developing novel immunotherapies. This role involves hands-on laboratory work, experimental design, and data analysis within a collaborative research environment. You will play a vital role in advancing scientific knowledge and contributing to the development of next-generation treatments, enhancing the research capabilities within the Gauteng province.

• Perform complex immunological assays, including cell-based assays, ELISA, and flow cytometry.
• Design and execute experiments to investigate immune cell function and signaling pathways.
• Isolate and characterize immune cells from various biological samples.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data, preparing detailed reports and presentations.
• Contribute to the optimization and troubleshooting of experimental protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to the overall research objectives.

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Immunology, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on research experience in immunology.
• Proficiency in various immunological techniques and cell culture methods.
• Experience with flow cytometry and data analysis software is essential.
• Strong understanding of immune system function and related signaling pathways.
• Excellent laboratory skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in Soweto .
