Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Retail Operations Lead to enhance the operational efficiency of their stores in the vibrant Soweto area. You will be responsible for overseeing key operational functions, including inventory management, staff scheduling, process improvement, and ensuring compliance with company standards. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in retail operations and a commitment to driving performance.
You will play a crucial role in supporting store management teams and contributing to the overall success and profitability of the retail outlets in the Gauteng region.
- Lead and optimize inventory management processes, ensuring accuracy and minimizing stockouts or overstock.
- Develop and manage effective staff scheduling to meet operational needs and control labor costs.
- Implement and monitor operational procedures to ensure efficiency and adherence to company policies.
- Conduct regular store audits to assess compliance with health, safety, and operational standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance store performance.
- Support store managers with operational challenges and provide guidance on best practices.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in retail operations management or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, supply chain, and operational logistics.
- Proven ability to analyze operational data and implement improvements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in POS systems and retail management software.
- A track record of successfully managing operational projects is highly desirable.
