About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Route Sales Driver to join their FMCG distribution team in Soweto. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering products to various retail outlets, managing inventory on your route, and engaging with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify potential sales opportunities. This is a hands‑on position essential to our client's operations, ensuring that their products reach customers efficiently and are well‑presented.

• Deliver FMCG products to designated retail customers along an assigned route.
• Ensure accurate order fulfillment and collection of payments upon delivery.
• Maintain inventory levels on the vehicle and report any stock discrepancies.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing their needs and concerns.
• Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products to existing customers.
• Maintain the cleanliness and good working order of the delivery vehicle.

• Valid driver's license (Code
  10 or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience in a delivery or sales role, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and loading goods.
• Basic understanding of sales principles and inventory management.
• Knowledge of the Soweto area and surrounding delivery routes is an advantage.
