Route Sales Representative

Our client is seeking a driven and personable Route Sales Representative to manage customer accounts and sales within the Soweto area. This role involves driving a company vehicle to visit existing clients, taking orders, replenishing stock, and identifying opportunities for upselling. You will be the primary point of contact for many customers, building strong relationships and ensuring their needs are met efficiently.

The ideal candidate has a passion for sales, excellent communication skills, and a good understanding of the local market in Gauteng . This position is crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction and driving revenue growth within their designated sales territory.

• Service existing customer accounts on a scheduled route, taking orders and ensuring satisfaction.
• Promote and sell additional products or services to existing clients (upselling).
• Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and customer interactions.
• Ensure products are displayed effectively and stock levels are managed appropriately.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
• Operate a company vehicle safely and maintain its cleanliness.

• Proven experience in route sales or a similar customer-facing sales role.
• Valid driver's license (preferably Code 10) and a clean driving record.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with the Soweto area and its customer base.
• Basic math skills for order taking and cash handling.
