About the Role
Our client is seeking a compassionate and experienced Social Worker specializing in Family Services to join their team in Soweto . This critical role involves providing comprehensive support, counseling, and intervention services to families facing challenges such as domestic issues, child welfare concerns, and economic hardship. You will work closely with families to assess their needs, develop intervention plans, and connect them with essential community resources.

- Conduct thorough assessments of family dynamics, strengths, and challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized family support and intervention plans.
- Provide counseling and therapeutic services to individuals and families, addressing various psychosocial issues.
- Facilitate referrals to appropriate community agencies and support services.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of children and vulnerable family members.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely case documentation according to professional standards.
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Current registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in family services or child welfare.
- Demonstrated expertise in family therapy, crisis intervention, and case management.
- Strong understanding of local community resources and social welfare systems in Soweto .
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and empathetic listening skills.
