Warehouse Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee their distribution center operations in Soweto . This role is responsible for managing all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of inventory control and logistics.

You will lead a team of warehouse staff, implement best practices, and optimize processes to meet operational goals. This is a key position within the company's supply chain.

• Manage and coordinate all daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Ensure efficient inventory management and control, conducting regular cycle counts and stock takes.
• Implement and maintain high standards of warehouse safety, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve performance targets and foster a positive work environment.
• Optimize warehouse layout and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities.

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar supervisory role in logistics/distribution.
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to manage budgets and operational costs effectively.
• A relevant qualification in logistics, supply chain management, or business is preferred.
