Warehouse Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead their warehouse operations in Soweto . This role is crucial for managing the receiving, storing, and dispatching of goods efficiently and accurately. You will be responsible for overseeing warehouse staff, maintaining inventory integrity, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven background in warehouse management within a manufacturing or distribution context .

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Oversee the receiving, stocking, and picking of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and system updates.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
• Manage warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring they are in good working order.
• Implement and improve warehouse processes to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.

• High school diploma or equivalent; a certificate in Supply Chain or Logistics is an advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse supervision or a similar role.
• Proven experience with inventory management systems and warehouse management software (WMS).
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage a team and foster a positive work environment in Soweto .
