Warehouse Operations Supervisor

Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join their team in Soweto . This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse, overseeing the daily activities of the warehouse team. You will be responsible for managing receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, and shipping processes, ensuring accuracy, safety, and productivity standards are met.

This hands-on supervisory role requires strong leadership and a commitment to operational excellence within the logistics and warehousing sector.

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of warehouse personnel, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Oversee the accurate and efficient receiving, stocking, order picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
• Ensure adherence to all warehouse safety protocols and company policies.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through diligent cycle counting and stock management.
• Identify and address operational issues, resolving conflicts and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Train and mentor warehouse staff, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.

• Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role or as a team leader in a logistics environment.
• Solid understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management , and shipping procedures.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to warehouse operations.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and scanning technology.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on execution in Soweto .
