Teaching Assistant

About the role:

Justteachers recruitment agency are currently looking to recruit a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant to work within one of our partner primary schools based in Spalding. This supportive, inclusive and well‑established school is looking to shortlist candidates immediately for an ASAP start. The position will initially be on a long‑term supply basis, with the potential to become permanent following a successful probationary period.

• Experience supporting children within a primary school setting
• Understanding of the national curriculum and age‑related expectations
• Patience, empathy and a nurturing approach to supporting pupils with varying needs
• Ability to use creativity and initiative to enhance learning experiences
• Support the class teacher in delivering high‑quality lessons and activities
• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils who may need additional guidance
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents, offering feedback on progress
• Promote independence, confidence and positive behaviour in all learners

• Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent)
• Referenceable experience working within a primary school in the last two years
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive team player with a flexible and positive attitude
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
