About the role:

A welcoming SEND school in Spalding is looking to appoint a committed Classroom Teacher to join their team. The school supports children and young people with a range of special educational needs, providing a nurturing, structured environment where pupils can develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

Staff are dedicated to delivering personalised learning experiences that build confidence, independence, and resilience, ensuring every pupil can succeed at their own pace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEND.
  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to ensure all learners can access the curriculum effectively.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and builds confidence.
  • Use a range of strategies, including visual aids, modelling, and hands-on activities, to support understanding and engagement.
  • Support pupils’ social and emotional development, promoting positive behaviour and helping students regulate and refocus when needed.
  • Monitor and assess progress, adjusting teaching approaches to support ongoing development.
Pre-requisites:
  • Experience teaching children or young people, ideally within a SEND or inclusive education setting.
  • Strong understanding of special educational needs and the ability to adapt teaching to meet a variety of learning needs.
  • Confidence in using a range of teaching strategies to support engagement and behaviour.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach, with a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
