Job PurposeThe Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is a strategic partner to the CFO and Executive Team, responsible for leading Group financial planning, forecasting, performance management and forward-looking decision support. The role translates the Group's strategy into robust financial plans, clear performance expectations and actionable insight, providing constructive challenge and guidance to senior leaders across the business. The Director will establish consistent planning and reporting disciplines across regions and functions, strengthen the quality and accuracy of management information, and develop scenario analysis and financial models to inform investment, growth and value-creation decisions.
As a member of the senior Finance leadership team, the role will build a high-performing FP&A capability and help ensure that financial insight is embedded in operational and strategic decision‑making.
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Principal Place of WorkPortishead / Bristol, with international travel as required
Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications Essentialo Significant senior leadership experience in FP&A, commercial finance or business performance
o Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
o Strong financial modelling, forecasting and scenario-planning capability
o Experience influencing Executive and Board-level stakeholders
o Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business value drivers
o Experience in a complex, international and multi-entity organisation
o Advanced analytical, communication and business‑partnering skills
o Strong problem‑solving capability, with the ability to analyse complex or ambiguous issues and develop practical, commercially sound solutions
o Intellectually curious, with the confidence to challenge assumptions, explore underlying business drivers and seek new insights
o Demonstrated ability to identify, create and support the adoption of new technologies, digital tools and innovative ways of working
o Track record of improving planning, reporting and performance‑management processes
o Experience in a private equity‑backed or similarly fast‑paced environment
o M&A, integration, ERP transformation and advanced BI / data‑visualisation experience
