A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an IT Product Specialist to join our IT team based in Spalding, Lincolnshire. Hybrid working is an option with 3 days spent in the office. This role operates within the FMSC supply chain, focused on the logistics functions, working with SAP and warehouse management solutions.

What you will be doing
  • Collaborate with senior business and IT stakeholders, working alongside the Senior Product Manager to develop the product strategy and align it with overall business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, build and maintain relationships with IT colleagues and senior stakeholders, understand business needs, and ensure cost‑effective delivery of IT services with agility.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments of the existing SAP landscape, evaluating effectiveness, scalability, and alignment with business goals. Identify improvement opportunities and develop a modernization roadmap, including use of AI agents and automation.
  • Define and govern project scope using specialist technology and business process knowledge, delivering outcomes within agreed timelines.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and partners to build relationships, ensure delivery of high‑quality services, evaluate proposals, and conduct technical configuration or customization of solutions that meet customer needs and support user experience.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth transition and user acceptance of transformed applications.
  • Provide insight into industry trends and emerging technologies, enabling the assessment and recommendation of suitable tools, frameworks, and methodologies to drive efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Ensure all products supporting the business comply with internal security, risk management policies, external regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Work with the support organization to troubleshoot incidents and escalations, resolve break‑fix issues, and proactively reduce support work volume by identifying recurring issues and proposing improvements.
What we are looking for
  • 5+ years of experience in business or industry.
  • Deep content knowledge of warehouse management (Manhattan Associates and SAP EWM).
  • Good content knowledge of SAP.
  • Understanding of the development tools used to produce the software product(s) and their system integrations.
  • Good understanding of the business processes for which the product(s) are designed.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Broad knowledge of IT and understanding of how technical specialism relates to other IT areas and impacts business functions.
  • Understanding of the development lifecycle and the role of software testing.
  • Logical and analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent relationship management, strong influence, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of Agile Software Development, experience with Scrum, Kanban and other methodologies, and tools such as Jira and CALM.
  • High‑quality artefact creation and maintenance.
