Overview
Audit compliance against Quality Management System, GMP and HACCP controls. Raise all non‑conformances with objective evidence, communicate findings to operational teams, and follow up to ensure corrective actions are completed. Provide technical support and advice during customer visits and audits, and collaborate with QA to investigate specifications, complaints and incidents. Coordinate day‑to‑day activities to improve Technical KPIs and support continuous improvement in health, safety and environment.
Responsibilities- Audit compliance against Quality Management Systems, GMP and HACCP controls, raising all non‑conformances with objective evidence.
- Effectively communicate findings to enable operational teams to take corrective action; follow up and monitor completion of actions.
- Suggest areas of improvement relating to fabrication and procedures.
- Use the site traceability system to complete audits, demonstrate compliance and retrieve information for investigations.
- Take samples (micro, nutritional, swab and organoleptic) according to specific schedules and communicate progress promptly.
- Prepare and facilitate taste panels in accordance with procedure, ensuring accurate recording and communication of results.
- Calibrate measurement equipment in accordance with schedules and procedures.
- Assist the QA Supervisor in conducting full investigations on specifications (micro and nutritional), complaints and incidents via sampling, process reviews, traceability or audits.
- Support NPD trials and product launches, assisting in micro testing and product life assessment to ensure products are manufactured to the correct standard.
- Provide technical support and advice to the factory team during customer visits or audits.
- Coordinate day‑to‑day activities to deliver improvement of Technical KPIs.
- Operate safely and support continuous improvement relating to health, safety and environment.
- GCSE or equivalent with numeracy and literacy skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Health and Safety Level2 and Food Hygiene Level2 qualifications.
- CCP training including HACCP principles for a manufacturing unit.
- Experience and understanding of internal audit processes.
- Knowledge of allergen awareness and associated risk.
- Understanding of GMP techniques.
- Non‑conformance reporting skills.
- Microbiological awareness and basic food safety knowledge.
- Basic disinfection principles, legal labelling practice and weight legislation.
