• Demonstrate knowledge of assigned sports fundamentals.
• Organize and motivate athlete development.
• Model behavior as outlined in the Coaches Handbook.
• Provide successful coaching experience and training over several years.
• Support the total athletic program.
• Maintain a current First Aid and CPR card.
• Attend required training classes for new hires.
• Complete hepatitis B vaccination if necessary and attend sexual harassment training.
• Undergo background check by fingerprinting.

• Enthusiasm for athletics.
• Availability for all related activities.
• Organizational and motivational skills.
• Age requirements:
  Head coaches must be 21 years of age; assistant coaches must be 19 years of age.
• Preferred:
  Classroom teacher experience, not required.
