Western Botanicals is a fast-growing dietary supplement and sports nutrition manufacturer located in Spanish Fork, UT. As we continue scaling toward becoming one of the industry’s leading contract manufacturers, we are seeking a Director of Sales Operations to strengthen our customer experience, accelerate sales execution, and streamline communication across departments. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
This role requires both strong internal leadership and an exceptional customer-facing presence to support our rapidly expanding customer base.
Position Overview
- Acts as a cross-functional coordinator for the Sales organization, ensuring customer requests and internal action items move smoothly through the appropriate departments.
- Oversees customer credit requests and product-related inquiries, coordinating with Customer Success, Quality, and Operations to ensure accurate review and resolution.
- Drives daily task completion and internal coordination to accelerate the pace of revenue‑producing activities for the Sales team.
- Owns a portfolio of customer accounts as a sales representative.
- Improves communication workflows, response times, and alignment across Sales, Customer Success, and Operations.
Essential Job Functions
- Responds to Sales‑requested tasks and internal escalations, ensuring prompt follow‑up with R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Quality.
- Manages (and mitigates) customer credits and issue resolution from initiation, including documentation, internal coordination, and customer communication.
- Provides day‑to‑day operational support for the Sales team, including gathering status updates, tracking deliverables, and driving completion of time‑sensitive items.
- Identifies and elevates process gaps that affect customer experience, accuracy, or turnaround times.
- Assists with the development of SOPs, internal workflows, and cross‑functional processes to support scale.
- Participates in internal or customer calls as requested by Sales or Sales Leadership.
Qualifications
- High degree of accountability, urgency, and follow‑up reliability.
- 4–7 years of experience in sales operations, account management, customer service, or project management within a manufacturing, CPG, nutraceutical, or related operational environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve complex challenges involving operations, quality, timelines, or financial impacts.
- Strong organizational discipline with the ability to manage multiple concurrent requests under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface professionally with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to understand manufacturing workflows, internal dependencies, and operational timelines.
- Experience working cross‑functionally in high‑volume environments requiring fast turnaround and consistent follow‑through.
