OverviewNew Haven is a private boarding school and residential treatment center for young women in grades 7–12, accredited by COGNIA. Our mission is to awaken ambition for learning, resiliency, and leadership. At New Haven, we believe that strong relationships are central to the healing process, and we support both the emotional and academic growth of our students. We are currently seeking a hands‑on Yoga teacher to join our team in Spanish Fork.

- tailor instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, fostering enthusiasm for learning and supporting their academic progress;
- stay abreast of educational best practices and contribute to curriculum enhancement efforts;
- implement effective classroom management strategies to promote a safe and conducive learning environment;
- cultivate positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, advocating for the school’s mission and values;
- pursue ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching effectiveness and stay updated on industry trends;
- assess student performance using various methods and provide constructive feedback to support their growth;
- collaborate with the Academic Director to manage administrative tasks and support the overall functioning of the department.
- strong subject‑matter knowledge and familiarity with diverse teaching methodologies;
- effective communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues;
- basic proficiency in word processing and organizational abilities;
- flexibility and adaptability to address the individual needs of students;
- preferred, but not required: certificates in fitness instruction and prior teaching experience.
While a current Utah teaching license is not required, experience in physical education instruction and familiarity with fitness exercises are beneficial. Teaching experience, including student teaching, is preferred but not mandatory.
