As a Quality Engineer at LVT, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our production processes. You will analyze production lines and collaborate with all teams involved in the production process to identify and resolve failures. Your focus will be on creating automated systems and processes that collect and analyze production data, perform root‑cause analysis, and work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to improve overall process quality.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and validate methods for evaluating the performance and functionality of mechanical and electrical components during the production process.
  • Lead efforts to create and maintain automated systems that support production processes.
  • Lead efforts to identify and resolve root causes of quality issues, leveraging statistical analysis and data‑driven approaches.
  • Establish robust testing protocols and procedures to meet regulatory, customer, and internal quality standards.
  • Support the creation of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Work cross‑functionally to define acceptance criteria for both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Conduct failure‑mode analysis and root‑cause analysis to drive process improvements.
  • Work with various departments within the manufacturing facility to resolve corrective action reports (CARs) and deviations.
  • Establish systems to collect and track failure data, enabling data‑driven business decisions for production improvements.
  • Provide data analysis and reports to key stakeholders, including Quality Management, Engineering, and Production teams.
  • Design, develop, and implement automated test fixtures and systems to evaluate mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Integrate test equipment and software to streamline quality checks for in‑process and end‑of‑line production stages.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define test requirements and ensure seamless integration into production lines.
  • Optimize test cycle times to improve efficiency without compromising accuracy or reliability.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation).
  • 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on automated test systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for fixture design (e.g., Solid Works, ProE, AutoCAD).
  • Experience with automation tools and systems (e.g., PLC programming, Python, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and mechanical components.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma methodologies, and ISO standards.
  • Electromechanical diagnostics experience.
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail, adept at managing multiple tasks concurrently while meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient in the design and development of automated test equipment, including hardware and software integration.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including troubleshooting and diagnostics.
