Shift: Swing
Hours:
3:00 pm – 1:30 am Monday through Thursday (and overtime as required).
Responsible for high‑level communication between operators, other departments, and management. Performs duties such as printing work orders, handling returns, communicating with warehouse, resolving problems that arise on the production floor, leading team meetings to discuss production goals, ensuring schedule compliance, supporting the supervisor, and maintaining quality, cost, and customer service standards. Leads continuous improvement initiatives and carries out other assignments as directed.
Responsibilities- Schedule, communicate and lead in the assigned area.
- Ensure a structure that allows the area to meet production schedules and maintain schedule compliance.
- Ensure all quality standards and SOPs are followed by the team.
- Motivate and lead the team, creating unity among shifts.
- Coordinate and communicate daily schedule with all areas and the Production Scheduler.
- Communicate with other areas and departments to ensure proper flow of material for production needs.
- Maintain a positive work environment as part of the team.
- Utilize computer processes for record‑keeping.
- Print and complete applicable documentation including pick sheets, work orders, and line clearances.
- Input feedback of materials into the computer.
- Operate material‑handling equipment and pallet jacks.
- Lead daily huddles and team meetings to discuss production levels, equipment maintenance, and quality needs.
- Fill in for production operators when needed.
- Provide training and other related duties.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience in material prep.
- Familiarity with products and manufacturing procedures in material prep, processing, and packaging.
- Knowledge of work order narratives and proper procedures for following them.
- Knowledge of SOPs in cGMP.
- Leadership skill in leading a team.
- Skilled in the use of work orders.
- General computer skills.
- Basic math skills required.
- Experience leading continuous improvement projects.
- Ability to positively influence coworkers, peers, and management.
- Ability to coordinate with all areas to meet weekly production schedules.
- Effective communication across all shifts.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work overtime to complete projects.
- Capacity to help in multiple manufacturing areas including material prep, processing, and packaging.
