Associate Scientist – Microbiology at NSP

This position follows a day‑shift schedule from Thursday to Monday. Candidates may select either a four‑day, 10‑hour schedule (4/10s) or a five‑day, 8‑hour schedule (5/8s), depending on operational needs.

The focus is on developing your technical knowledge and skills to solve more complex problems. You will become familiar with all basic microbiological testing including, but not limited to, media making, Total Plate Count, Enterobacteriaceae, Yeast and Mold using Petrifilm and Petriplate methods, as well as presence/absence of

E. coli, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, and Pseudomonas testing.

• Uses laboratory equipment and instruments with minimal supervision
• Performs calibrations and maintains calibration records
• Keeps detailed and complete records
• Thinks analytically
• Maintains timeliness and cleanliness
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office
• Is flexible
• Works as a team member
• Keeps labs clean and organized

• BS in a scientific area, preferably microbiology or biology
• Knowledge of microbiology and chemistry
• Knowledge of testing of natural products and ingredients
• Knowledge of GMP and GLP requirements
• Experience in environmental testing and allergen testing
• Capable of using laboratory equipment and documentation systems
• Ability to write reports and communicate results
• Ability to work as a team member
