Assistant Baker

About the Position

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is looking for a talented part‑time Assistant Bread Baker. We are passionate about food quality, customer service, and community. In this role you will help craft an artisan, sweet, and seasonal bread menu baked with honest, whole ingredients.

• Follow recipes and pay close attention to details to create unique breads.
• Lift large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies weighing 50 lbs. or more – standing, lifting, and mixing are daily requirements.
• Work flexible hours, afternoons and evenings, starting around 11 am to 7 pm. Sunday shift when the store is closed and occasional overnight shifts during holiday seasons.

• Large‑scale baking/pastry experience preferred but not required; willingness to be trained.
• Attentiveness to compliance with local, state, and federal food handler and sanitation standards.
• Formal baking/pastry education is a bonus.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
