Role Summary

The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance and pricing processes for all areas of the store. They enable efficient delivery to guests by supporting pick, pack and ship fulfillment work.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with daily tasks.
• Assist guests in solving their needs and thank them for shopping at Target.
• Perform daily tasks to achieve business priorities: receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing backroom, arranging merchandise, and placing promotional signs for GM areas.
• Operate power equipment if certified to move merchandise or store fixtures.
• Execute pricing changes, merchandise setup and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed.
• Learn procedures related to setting up merchandise, stock management, and store profitability.
• Know store resources, products, and services to solve guest issues and improve the guest experience.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (e.g., picking/packing orders, delivering pickup orders) while complying with laws.
• Other duties as needed based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to use handheld scanners and other technology; capable of working independently or with a team.
• Ability to resolve guest questions quickly and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays and varying shifts.
• Comfort with standing, walking, and lifting up to 44 pounds; ability to climb ladders if required.
