This role involves the safe and efficient operation of multiple styles of trucks and delivering heavy equipment and various materials to locations both residential and commercial. Each day provides a different opportunity to work with our teams to build our communities.
(Essential Duties and Functions)
- Operate transport tractors and trailers (lowboy, gooseneck, end dumps, truck and pup, belly dumps with or without pups) and related equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain time and material records.
- Follow verbal and written instructions.
- Have working knowledge of different types of heavy equipment.
- Ability to maneuver and back tractor trailers and truck and pup.
- Communicate effectively, connect and disconnect trailers.

Education/Experience- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must possess a valid state CDL Class A license.
- Must possess a valid Medical Card as per DOT standard.
- At least two years of heavy equipment transport related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Willing to train suitable candidate.
- Incident-free driving record preferred.
- Subject to drug, alcohol, and physical agility testing.
- Ability to communicate using two-way radio.
- Basic math.
- Basic computer skills preferred.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to perform the essential functions. The employee is frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands. Occasional standing, walking, crawling, kneeling, bending, and reaching with hands and arms above shoulders. Occasional movement of up to 50 lbs. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment may include wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outside weather, and extreme temperatures. Noise level is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
