Spanish Fort Animal Clinic is a companion animal practice that has been keeping pets healthy since 2001. The clinic started in a smaller building nearby and expanded into a brand‑new 6400 sq. ft. facility in December 2014. The clinic offers spacious examination rooms, treatment areas, increased boarding space, and state‑of‑the‑art equipment, including on‑site radiography, laboratory testing, and ultrasound capabilities. There are currently three full‑time veterinarians staffed at the clinic, and the clinic offers mentorship opportunities with highly experienced veterinarians.

- 4 spacious exam rooms equipped with a Technidyne lift table w/scale
- Pharmacy adjacent to exam rooms that is equipped with a complete IDEXX suite of equipment and a new centrifuge
- Large treatment area with 1 wet tub table equipped for dentals and digital dental x-rays
- Surgery suite and treatment area are equipped with in‑wall oxygen and Hot Dog warming system
- GE LogiQ Ultrasound, Summus Laser therapy, Tonopen, and other up‑to‑date equipment
- Avimark software
- Large boarding area, including suites and hospitalization runs
Spanish Fort, Alabama is a rapidly growing community on the Eastern Shore of the Mobile Bay. It features beautiful scenery, excellent schools, rich history, and a high quality of life. The area offers abundant shopping and dining options, is only about 35 miles from sandy white Gulf Shores beaches, and is 13 miles from the nearest 24/7 emergency clinic.
Most externship experiences range from two to eight weeks, depending on student and hospital schedules. Externships at Spanish Fort Animal Clinic are reserved for students in their final clinical year of veterinary school.
